I'm
Chad Rubin. I spent twenty years turning
problems I lived with into companies. Four were acquired. Now I'm looking
outside ecommerce for one worth the next twenty.
Right now01
Titan acquired
Profasee
in August 2026. I'm taking time with my family before I decide what's next.
In between, I'm reading, building, and training. A gap like this is easy to waste. I'd rather come out of it sharper than I went in.
What I want next is something hard that most people have not agreed on yet. Until I find it, I take a small number of advisory roles, and I'm always up for an informal conversation.
I talk shop02
Most of what gets published now is forgettable. I write what nobody's saying out loud.

I built what I needed03
It started in my parents' vacuum shop in 2006. The crash ended my Wall
Street run in 2009, so I took the business online as
Crucial Vacuum, reverse-engineered the filters, and sold them myself.
That became
Think Crucial, an 8-figure brand selling
home appliance parts and chemicals.
I still own it and no longer run it. Everything after came from a problem I hit inside
it. Sixty thousand orders a month broke my software, so I co-founded
Skubana. Sellers had nowhere to compare notes, so I co-founded the
Prosper Show. Those same brands needed
marketing help, so I built
Seller's Choice. Pricing was still done by hand, so I built
Profasee. All four were acquired.
Where the time went04
Every company, and what became of it.
What I believe05
Rules to live by. I wrote them for my family first. The companies were reflections of us.
- I can do hard things. In fact, they're the only things worth doing.
- There is no good technology without humanity. Be kind.
- Work without play doesn't work for me. Great ideas thrive on good vibes.
- Enlightenment over entitlement. Respect the holy moments.
- You can't go anywhere if you stay in your comfort zone. Get comfortable with discomfort, and get going.
- Entrepreneurship doesn't have to be a solo adventure. We all go higher when we climb together.
- Being for everyone isn't for me. I'd rather excite the few than bore the many.
- If I start something, I finish it.
The companies sold. The values stay.
I am on the internet06
I live in Miami with my wife and two boys. Always up for street tacos and deep convos.
